The head of the regional executive, Fernando López Miras, attended this morning the General Assembly of the Community of Irrigators of Lorca, which was attended by about 200 farmers and ranchers in the region.
"I have come to the Assembly of the Community of Irrigators of Lorca to listen to such an important sector in the Region of Murcia as is the agrarian, as are the irrigators of the Region and, today especially, those of Lorca," said Lopez Miras .
The regional president added that "in order to make important water decisions, such as those we have to make, we have to listen to the representatives of the irrigators and ranchers."
Currently, the Community of Irrigators of Lorca is the second largest in the Region of Murcia on the surface, with about 25,000 hectares, and is supplied with water from the Tajo-Segura transfer.
