The Councilor for Works and Services of the City of Lorca, Angel Meca, has announced the realization of a biological phytosanitary treatment in different parks and gardens of the municipality that will take place from 24 hours from Monday 3 to Tuesday 4 June for the control of aphid and cochineal in jacarandas, robinias, tipuanas, elms and other types of trees.
The green areas in which this phytosanitary treatment will be undertaken are located in the following locations:
Highway of Caravaca.
- Train station Lorca Sutullena.
- Alameda de Cervantes.
- Jacarandas in front of the Sacred Heart school.
- Urbanization of Atlantic Ocean, Pacific streets, etc., as well as the elms of the Alameda del Poeta Para Vico.
- Alameda de los Tristes.
La Viña Park
- Alameda Virgen de las Huertas (elm trees).
Alameda Gimeno Castellar (elm trees).
Avenue of the Armed Forces.
Street Pulgara (elm trees).
Alamedas
Alameda Rafael Méndez (jacarandas).
From the City of Lorca is recommended to the residents of these areas that are prevented;
especially important is not to leave animals in the outer area of ​​the houses, as well as keep the windows closed and not leave the clothes hanging, among other basic precautions.
