It is a project approved unanimously in the most recent meeting of the Campus Consortium Lorca, and entail an investment of 616,453.11 euros, according to the data provided by the technicians who have prepared the document.
The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has reported the upcoming construction of a center for assistance, training and research in older people in the University Campus of Lorca.
He pointed out, in this sense, that the Plenary of the Campus Consortium has already unanimously approved at its most recent meeting to authorize the pertinent specific agreement for the creation by the Poncemar Foundation of a Center for Training and Research in the socio-health field of older people in the University Campus of Lorca, on the basis of the Framework Collaboration Agreement of April 26, 2016 between the Consortium for the University Campus of Lorca, the City Council of Lorca, the University of Murcia and the Poncemar Foundation.
Fulgencio Gil explained that the Consortium of the University Campus of Lorca, once approved the Modification n ° 2 of the Campus Special Plan, gives the Poncemar Foundation free of charge a surface right on a plot of 5,000 m2 in the Campus Sciences of Health of Lorca.
This right supposes the obligation of the Poncemar Foundation to build and maintain this Center for fifty years with the aim of assisting, training and researching the elderly.
The building according to the technical project must be carried out by the Foundation within a maximum period of two years, with a material execution budget of € 616,453.11.
The construction and commissioning of this Center is an essential action for the specialization of the University Campus of Lorca in elderly people.
