Diego José Mateos wants to carry out a first contact with López Miras and put on the table the need to expedite matters such as the completion of the sections of the central round, the underpass of San Antonio or the implementation of measures to the revitalization of the historic center.
The Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has formally requested a first institutional meeting with the newly invested president of the Autonomous Community, Fernando López Miras, to address issues of special urgency for the municipality of Lorca, such as health, infrastructure, earthquake or helmet historical.
The Mayor said that "the objective is to hold a first work meeting, as soon as possible, to address different issues that concern the new Government Team of Lorca."
And, among the issues to be discussed, he has highlighted the situation of abandonment in which is the Health Area 3 for which "a few days ago users and neighbors of Lorca took to the streets to claim a decent health, demanding to the Ministry of Health that does not close clinics during the summer, the equalization of ratios as many people as material resources, the reduction of waiting lists, the construction of the new San Cristóbal Health Center or the revision of the concession of the sanitary transport service ".
In terms of infrastructure, Mateos wants to review "pending issues in our municipality such as the state in which the construction of the various sections that will make up the future Central Round is located and, also, that the procedures for the completion of the Palace are expedited of Fairs and Congresses of Santa Quiteria.
The First Edil, in addition, will demand López Miras "to give priority to the Project of Regional Interest in the Historic District of the City of the Sun, which allows economic development and employment generation in the center of Lorca."
As well as speeding up the construction of the much-demanded San Antonio underpass that allows decongesting the entrance traffic to the city, due to the proximity of the industrial estates of Saprelorca and Los Peñones, the highway itself and the hospital.
Mateos Molina will ask "that Lorca be taken into account within the budgets for the Shadow Plan, which allows the roofing of educational centers, their sports courts and courtyards, especially taking into account the high temperatures that are reached in the municipality in certain months of the year. "
It will also demand, in favor of the improvement of road safety, that the Lorca - Águilas regional highway, becomes a highway due to the traffic it supports, about 15,000 vehicles per day, a figure that increases markedly during the summer months .
Without forgetting, Mateos assures, the problem of the justification of the aid received by the victims after the earthquakes of May 2011, for which the mayor insists on "collaborating in a coordinated way to close the return files and finish the reconstruction of the city".
The Mayor has also announced his intention to meet with each and every one of the directors of the new executive of López Miras with the aim that "the collaboration between Administrations allows to solve the problems of Lorca and Lorca and putting projects underway to improve their quality of life. "
