The Peña Cultural Flamenca "City of the Sun" of Lorca, organizer of the veteran and prestigious Contest, faithful to its principle of bringing and involving Lorca fans in the Festival, when proposing the inaugural commission to the future preacher, He has taken into account his great love of singing, music and flamenco dancing, as well as his concern for Culture in general.
The Organization has also valued its function in the last Municipal Corporation of the city of Lorca with responsibilities in the area of ​​Culture and Tourism, dedication, which has combined with its profession and as a lecturer in various scenarios the Region of Murcia and in neighboring communities on the role of women in today's society, within the framework of the Constitution and their continued access to relevant positions in the Armed Forces.
The Organization thanks María Antonia García Jiménez for her deference in accepting the order to proclaim and open the next edition of one of the most important festivals in the field of flamenco singing.
