The Councilor for Citizen Security of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, has reported that "during the past week the Local Police, within their duties of Administrative Police, proceeded to the exhaustive control of several gambling and betting venues and several shops dedicated to the sale of alcoholic beverages, resulting in these inspections three people arrested. "
The mayor of Public Safety has added that "there have also been several breathalyzer tests that have resulted in the arrest of the driver of a vehicle that tripled the allowed alcohol rate and was involved in a traffic accident, in which several were slightly injured. "
Ruiz Guillén said that "in particular two game rooms and sports betting were inspected, controlling the closing hours, documentation, security systems, as well as the conditions of these premises, the consumption of tobacco or drugs and identification of clients to detect the possible presence of minors. "
The councilor said that "in both places it was found that the closing time was breached, continuing with its normal activity past the allowed limit, which is why the corresponding administrative complaints were made, which were sent to the competent body of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia ".
In addition, in the inspections of these two premises it was found that tobacco consumption was allowed inside and several of the clients that were inside were specifically intervened with hashish, marijuana and hashish, so the intervention was carried out of these toxic substances and the corresponding complaints were made.
Ruiz has pointed out that "after the identification of the clients that were inside these premises, three people were arrested for violation of the Aliens Act, so they were made available to the Local Aliens and Borders Brigade of the Police Station National of Lorca that continues with the corresponding proceedings ".
Likewise, it was observed that one of the premises could be failing to comply with the regulations regarding security measures of its facilities, for which reason the corresponding body of the Town Planning Department of the City of Lorca was noticed, also observing possible irregularities regarding the Law on Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights, which is why the complaint was filed of all irregularities observed to the Spanish Agency for Data Protection.
As for the businesses reported for the sale of alcohol after hours have been a total of four, located in Jerónimo Santa Fe Street, Nogalte Street, Juan Carlos I Avenue and Main Street, all for breaching the provisions of the Municipal Ordinance of Citizen Coexistence.
Also, during the weekend three complaints have been made for consuming alcoholic beverages on public roads, altering citizen tranquility.
Ruiz Guillén stressed that "with these important actions, the constant preventive / operational work carried out by the Local Police of Lorca is confirmed through the different units in which it is organized and through the surveillance devices established throughout the term municipal, as well as its coordination with the rest of the Security Forces and Bodies ".
