The objective of these actions is the improvement of road safety, above all, to make pedestrian crossings more visible since due to road traffic and at the same time there is wear on the paint.
The Councilor for Citizen Security of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, has detailed that during these days a battery of repainting works of the horizontal signs of the urban area of ​​the city are being carried out.
According to the Mayor of Citizen Security during these days "it is taking advantage of precisely the periods of lower traffic density in the city to proceed to the review of road traffic lines."
Ruiz Guillén has advanced that "this action will be extended over the next few weeks with the aim of improving the road safety of drivers. The forecast is that these works end in the first weeks of September, in order to achieve a minimum impact on circulation ".
This intervention complies with the intervention program provided by the Local Police area of ​​Lorca that remains open to provide coverage in other enclaves, always responding to requests and demands that are transferred directly to the Department of Public Safety.
