Pedro Sosa, spokesman councilor for Izquierda Unida Verdes in the town hall of Lorca, has demanded this morning the municipal government team to press the banks to comply with the obligations set by the law and ensure the security of the properties of those they are owners, to avoid that they can be occupied and the consequent problems to the other neighbors of the affected stairs.
Sosa has stated that there is great concern and discomfort among the residents of some areas of the city, such as in the San Cristóbal neighborhood, due to the illegal occupation of homes, most of them in the hands of the banks, with the restlessness that this it means for the rest of the neighbors, so it asks these entities to ensure the maintenance of the conditions of safety, health and public decoration that the law requires of the owners.
The mayor of the left criticizes that from the Administration, who had no qualms about going to the rescue of the banks to alleviate their losses when the real estate bubble burst, to the detriment of the rest of the society, the neglect with which the entities are not actively pursued Banks are managing their real estate assets, contributing to the deterioration suffered by the peripheral neighborhoods of our city.
For this reason, from the IU Lorca group, an initiative will be taken for the next plenary session in September so that through the municipal Cadastre a census of homes owned by banks is established and their habitability status is determined, requiring them its maintenance according to the law to ensure the tranquility and rest of the rest of the neighbors.
With this proposal the portrait of the different political formations that make up the municipal Corporation is also sought, because although this demand has already been carried in the past, it never had the support of the PP who was the one who ruled.
