The coordinator of Izquierda Joven Lorca, Chechu Muñoz, has asked the City Council today for the launch of an extraordinary night bus service during the two weekends of the fair and parties of Lorca.

This measure, which has already been successfully implemented in many municipalities in Spain, would make it easier for young people to return to their homes without fear of aggression or robbery, and prevent them from getting behind the wheel of their vehicles after drinking alcohol, which It would also be peace of mind for their families.

"What we all want is that there are no security problems related to the fair, including possible sexist attacks, and we believe that this is a good way to avoid them," he said.

The coordinator of this youth organization linked to Izquierda Unida-Verdes Lorca, has also requested the gratuitousness of this service "because it is necessary that young Lorca people know their urban public transport and we believe that it can be a good way to encourage the rest to use it of the year".

Muñoz has requested that these vehicles complete a tour of the urban center of Lorca, leaving from the Huerto de la Rueda, passing through the Felipe VI sports complex to the San Diego roundabout, Europa Avenue, Apolonia, Armed Forces Avenue, street Mayor, Lope Gisbert, Oval, Jerónimo Santa Fe, Avenida Adolfo Suárez, La Viña and San Antonio.

Then I would return to the Oval, to go down the Alameda de Cervantes to the San Fernando neighborhood, to return to the fairgrounds.

The service would be provided until the closing of the tent of the fair, during the early hours of Fridays and Saturdays.
