The Councilor for Tourism of the City of Lorca, Francisco Morales, has announced that "this next Sunday, September 1, the Castle of Lorca will host the 20th edition of the European Day of Jewish Culture, this year under the slogan" Heritage Routes Beans ", with guided tours, a photographic exhibition and tasting of Sephardic gastronomy".

Morales has detailed that "the activities will begin in the castle with the historical recreation" Daily Life in the Jewish Quarter ", through the visit of each of the houses of the Barrio de Alcalá and its synagogue, visitors will know the ways of daily life in the Middle Ages.More than a dozen characters will give life to the merchant, the butcher, the seamstress and other crafts of the time to know how they lived in a border castle, at the same time they will show us the most characteristic features of Jewish culture. Guided visits to the Alfonsina Tower have also been organized at 12:30 p.m.

At noon, in the Las Caballerizas del Castillo de Lorca cafeteria, it offers a special Sephardic-inspired menu to approach the particularities of the gastronomic heritage of our Sephardic ancestors.
In the afternoon, again guided tours of the Archaeological Park and Synagogue of Lorca will be held at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
In the Aljibe del Espaldón del Castillo de Lorca you can visit the photographic exhibition "Discover Sefarad", a journey through the image through the cities of the Red de Juderías de España.
