Pedro Sosa, spokesman councilor of Izquierda Unida Verdes in the town hall of Lorca, has denounced this morning the state of dirt and abandonment in which Carraclaca's land is located, owned by the Ministry of Defense, where formerly the military practices of the Mallorca Regiment XIII.
After visiting the area, the mayor of the left has been able to verify that the place is full of undergrowth, rubble, shattered murals and a wooded area abandoned.
Nothing to do with the state in which he was formerly.
The Ministry of Defense carried out a few years ago projectile decontamination in these areas after the closure of the Barracks, but subsequently has not carried out any maintenance on them.
"It cannot be that we urge and oblige individuals to take care of their lots and from the Public Administrations the same is not done with those who are of their ownership," said Sosa.
For this reason, Sosa asks the City Council to urge the Ministry of Defense through the Government Delegation to carry out the necessary cleaning tasks that are necessary, clearing the existing weeds, maintaining and improving if possible the existing trees and placing informative posters that they warn of the prohibition of throwing debris and the withdrawal of those present and that they carry out these actions periodically until these lands are transferred to the City Council.
Finally, Sosa recalled that one of its main proposals included in its electoral program is the construction in this area, given its good location and extension, of a new regional hospital for Area III Health of the Region, given that Rafael Méndez has remained small despite all the extensions that have taken place in him.
