Pedro Sosa, spokesman councilor of Izquierda Unida Verdes in the town hall of Lorca, has denounced this morning the state of abandonment and dirt presented by the ditches and the rounds of the entrance roads to the city.
The undergrowth has taken over the rounds that are at the entrance by the Caravaca Road and surroundings, as well as next to the El Emigrante bar, so much so that they even cover the vertical signage existing in them.
In addition, the ditches of these roads accumulate a large amount of waste despite having been cleared, as happens in the path of the Deficit Bar, a path for many children on their way to the Music School of the Incarnate Pass.
Sosa criticizes the accusation of his training of exaggerated or directly liars when they make these complaints public, but unfortunately it is in sight of all, both the residents of the city and the tourists who visit us.
"Lorca is a municipality that has not shone for a long time, because the councilors in charge of its management are armchair councilors and are not at street level as they should be," said the mayor.
It is of no use to change the Government Team if the error of being locked in the offices persists, says Sosa, so demand of the new Mayor, Mr. Mateos, to order and send his mayor and demand the agencies Regional authorities, in this case Roads, that when clearing the roads that correspond to them, also clean them and do not leave them made a pigsty as before.
Nor is it any use, according to Sosa, to have a Citizen Ordinance that sanctions to dirty and throw trash on public roads with fines from € 30-750 for minor offenses to € 1500-3000 for very serious ones, if they do not prosecute violators , as happens in recent years.
But prior to the imposition of sanctions, it would be advisable to carry out awareness and sensitization campaigns for the care of the urban environment, "otherwise in Lorca civilism will continue to shine, but for its absence."
