The councilor of Oenegés of the City of Lorca, María Dolores Chumillas has presented, this morning, together with Francisco del Vas, president of the Association EEA III the First Meeting of Ham Cutters in favor of this group scheduled for next Friday, 13 September.
The mayor of Oenegés explained that "the Multiple Sclerosis Association EEA III has organized this first solidarity meeting of ham cutters in Lorca with the aim of raising funds to get an adapted van in which to move their users from their homes to the House of NGOs where they receive the different therapies ".
Chumillas has detailed that "15 professional cutters members of the Association of Professional Ham Experts and Cutters of the Region of Murcia, will cut the afternoon / evening of this next Friday, September 13, hams donated by different Lorca companies."
For his part, the president of EEA III, Francisco del Vas, said that "during this activity, freshly cut ham dishes will be offered for sale at the price of € 3, and that they can be consumed in the bars and restaurants of the area, such as 'El Sibarita', 'Taberna Cuatro Cantones', in the courtyard of 'Casa Roberto', 'Cafetería Jarique', 'Phelan's Coffee Bar', next to a couple of rods at the price of € 1 each. the activity will be enlivened with children's animations by Initiatives El Gigante and with live music, with Pedro Laborda. Del Vas has insisted that "the collection of ham dishes will go entirely to the project" Saving the Barrier of Distance ", whose objective is to facilitate the transfer to people with multiple sclerosis and other neurological diseases to the Neuro Center - Integral rehabilitation in Lorca (CENERI) managed by the Multiple Sclerosis Association Area III (EEA III) ".
"This project stems from the need of many users to be able to access the services, services, workshops and coexistence, which the association carries out to improve the quality of life of the affected people and their families, who currently cannot receive due to lack of means technicians and humans to help them move from their home to the EEA III center, "explained Vas.
The president of EEA III recalled that "this group is a non-profit entity whose primary purpose is the promotion of all kinds of actions and health care and scientific activities aimed at improving the quality of life of people affected by diseases neurodegeneratives (especially Multiple Sclerosis), managing the execution and financing of approved programs and projects to achieve the aims of the association. "
In the Center for Comprehensive Neurorehabilitation of EEA III (CENERI), specialized services in neurorehabilitation such as neurophysiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, neuropsychology, psychological support and social care are provided to all people with neurological damage.
