The PP requires the immediate withdrawal of the "Mastodóntico stall" they have planted in the Plaza de España, bursting the vision of the Collegiate Church of San Patricio, its Chapter Rooms, the Town Hall and the manor houses that surround the Plaza.
The Councilor of the Popular Party in the City of Lorca, Francisco Javier Martínez, has demanded the immediate withdrawal of the horrible and unsightly tent that Citizens and the PSOE have nailed in the heart of the historic center, completely destroying the image of the heritage, cultural emblem and historical of our city, as is the Plaza de España and its surroundings.
The mayor of the PP has indicated that they have spent a lot of time talking about the need to recover the historic center and now they sneak an unpresentable mamotreto that shames anyone who sees it.
It is truly horrendous.
They have turned the Plaza de España into a macro greenhouse, embedding a mastodontic tent, a hulk that constitutes a monument to inoperance and bad taste.
Can anyone even imagine that they placed a greenhouse of these covering the vision of the cathedral of Murcia or the Basilica of Caravaca?
Francisco Javier Martínez has stressed that the image of the most beautiful Plaza of all the Spanish east has been loaded, bursting the vision of the Collegiate Church of San Patricio, its Chapter Rooms, the manor houses that surround the Plaza de España and the building itself of the townhall.
What they have done does not occur to anyone with a minimum of common sense and some aesthetic sensibility.
It is a true aberration.
These tents can be useful in other locations, in neighborhood parties or districts, but never in the Plaza de España, because people who go to the historic site do so to contemplate their monuments, not to get under a giant and ugly stall that prevents seeing the historical properties that surround it.
From the PP they have stressed that the attraction of the Day Fair in the historic center is precisely to enjoy the cuisine of Lorca and the party contemplate a unique environment, which now Citizens and PSOE have transvestised in a monstrous mega greenhouse, without any respect for the historical enclave in which it is located.
The Day Fair, which takes place in Lorca because the Popular Party proposed its implementation many years ago, cannot fall back into mistakes of the past, which, as we all remember, forced the PSOE to stop doing it in 2006, and it was again the PP who was recovering it gradually in the spaces of the city.
It is about enjoying the extraordinary enclaves that our city, its squares and streets offer us, but we cannot allow them to pervert and reload it.
This cannot fall into the error of transforming into the macro bottle that was, with continuous neighborhood complaints.
Faced with such nonsense, we demand that they correct a size, and if they want to install a greenhouse of this type, they should look for another place to do it, but never in the heart of the historic center.
Obviously, things cannot be done that way.
If they wanted to generate new areas of shade, there are multiple alternatives and solutions to do so, but none of them happens to destroy the image of a heritage area with the relevance of our Plaza de España. For this they proposed the Pact for the Recovery of the Historic District?
What a kick they have given the document, their own proposals and their coherence.
