The placement of the tent through provisional and removable anchors will allow to attend possible inclement weather while respecting one of the monuments par excellence of the city.
The Councilor of Celebrations of the City of Lorca, José Ángel Ponce, has responded to the criticisms expressed this morning by the Councilor of the Popular Group Francisco Javier Martínez that made reference to the placement of an integral tent in the Plaza of Spain.
Ponce has detailed "the placement of that integral tent in the Plaza de España, one of the main novelties that we incorporate into the 'Day Fair' of 2019, is born from the commitment to attend a historical claim of the hospitality sector, a claim that has been None in recent years and that in this edition, with the effort of this Government Team and the hoteliers of Lorca, it is launched ".
The Edil has announced that "it is one more action to make the fair in Lorca a more welcoming and attractive space, a tent that has been designed in order to meet the possible inclement weather not only of the rain but also of the high temperatures that are recorded in this square. "
"Everyone knows the importance and beauty of one of the most symbolic squares of our city and, therefore, in no case the installation of the tent will cause any damage or deterioration in the infrastructure since it has been done respecting the historical heritage through provisional and removable anchors, "said the Councilor.
Ponce Díaz has revealed his surprise and has assured "not to understand the unsubstantiated and misplaced criticisms he makes, just three days after the fair, the Popular Party and, we hope, that for future editions they will remember to make their I work with time and make positive proposals that we will be happy to value with the aim of continuing to make the 'Day Fair' that space that welcomes more and more people and that returns to Lorca to that place of reference in which no I should have never stopped being.
