It has seized more than half a kilo of marijuana arranged in buds, cash and tourism

Last week, three other people in Lorca were also arrested for drug trafficking

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, within the framework of the services established to prevent and prosecute drug trafficking, has arrested three young people who were caught in a control in Totana when they were transporting more than half a kilo of marijuana buds.

The events took place in Totana, when the Benemérita carried out a preventive device for citizen security in the town in order to prevent and, where appropriate, clarify any type of criminal activity.

Among the vehicles that passed through the control, a tourist called the attention of the civil guards for the maneuvers it performed.

Specifically, the vehicle was circulating with clear intentions to avoid the verification device so the agents stopped it before it could flee from it.

During the identification of the occupants, the civil guards perceived how an intense smell of marijuana was emitted from inside the vehicle.

The inspection of tourism allowed to find inside a large plastic bag containing marijuana arranged in buds.

Once the facts were verified, the Civil Guard arrested the three occupants of the vehicle as alleged perpetrators of crimes against public health (drug trafficking).

In addition to the drug, the agents seized more than 400 euros in cash carried by those arrested at that time and the tourism used in the criminal activity clarified.

The Spanish detainees, aged between 18 and 20, and neighbors of Totana, the apprehended drug, the recovered effects and the proceedings taken have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Totana (Murcia).

Second blow to retail drug trafficking in a week

Last week, the Civil Guard dismantled a point of sale of street drugs in Lorca led by a criminal group consisting of three people, who were detected in a control of the Benemérita in the Lorca deputation of La Pulgara, which was seized 300 Cocaine dose, more than 4,000 euros in cash and tourism where the drug was transported.
