The Councilors of Citizen Security and Emergency of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén and Isabel Casalduero, have presented, together with the Head of the Local Police of Lorca, José Antonio Sansegundo and Santiago Ibarra, Technician of the Municipal Emergency Service, the Device of Emergencies planned for the 2019 Fair, highlighting the “important effort made by all the troops to guarantee the normal development of these partiesâ€�.

The mayor of Emergencies has indicated that “the Special Emergency Plan will be activated for the events of the Fair and Festivals Program 2019, for which the necessary mechanisms have been articulated to guarantee the safety, coordination and adequate attention of emergencies that could be presented. Casalduero has detailed that “the 'Special Plan for Emergencies Fair and Festivities 2019' that establishes the necessary norms regarding the operation of security and emergencies of the main acts of these parties that will take place from Friday, September 20, at 19 hours, until 2 am on Monday, September 30 �.

The councilor has indicated that “this Plan will be activated in the pre-emergency phase a few hours before the celebration of each of the main events of the program of these festivities, being the two weekends the most peak moments for the incessant activity both in the Fairground of the Huerto de la Rueda as in the Noon Fair through the streets and squares of the town center, where thousands of people come to meet at peak hours.

The Councilor for Emergencies has detailed that “within the Special Emergency Plan, 200 emergency personnel will be added to the 400 emergency personnel, with a deployment equivalent to last year, more than 600 people and 100 vehicles that will participate in the multiple events included in the program of the Fair and Festivals of the city �.

And revealed "the good coordination and collaboration that year after year there are between the different bodies and State Security Forces, in addition to the good result that this magnificent collaboration."

The technician of the Municipal Emergency Service, Santiago Ibarra, has indicated that for the good coordination of the services of this device we will proceed to place the booths next to the entrance of the Huerto de la Rueda, and this year the novelty will be the also installation of an Advanced Health Post (PSA) with sanitary registration in the Ministry that is for the busiest days, such as weekends.

For his part, the Chief of Local Police, José Antonio Sansegundo, has detailed that for the Lorca Fair three operational control and surveillance areas will be established by the Local Police;

According to Ruiz Guillén, “the Local Police Operation, which will ensure the normal development of the Fairs and Festivals of Lorca, will provide a total of 394 services provided for Citizen Security Surveillance and Control, which means an increase in troops by 14 % compared to the year 2018 (345 services) â€�.

The mayor has insisted that the daily ordinary service will not be undermined, being independent of this Special Fair Operative since, in addition to guaranteeing the tranquility of the citizens for their leisure and enjoyment during this week, the ordinary services and peripheral units will be They will deploy in neighborhoods and in the areas furthest from the town center for preventive surveillance and thus avoid robberies in those homes that leave their inhabitants, precisely to enjoy the Fair.
