The Councilor for Public Companies of the City of Lorca, Francisco Morales, today presented the special cleaning device on the occasion of the Fair and Festivals of Lorca, for which the cleaning staff has been reinforced and has increased by 15 percent the number of containers compared to the previous year.
Morales explained that in terms of personnel, the Limusa workforce for road cleaning services adds 20 more external labor that will reinforce the work that is necessary to undertake garbage removal in the places where musical performances take place , as well as other leisure sites such as the Huerto de la Rueda.
In total, more than a hundred troops will work every day of the Fair "so that it develops with absolute normality," said the Councilor for Public Companies, who appealed "to the citizenship of all so that, together, contribute to a Lorca more clean".
This year, in addition, Limusa increases by 15 percent the number of containers compared to the previous year in the different spaces programmed for activities, such as the Huerto de la Rueda, Ifelor and numerous city squares.
In the downtown area, the number of urban solid waste containers is doubled.
To cover the needs planned in the center of the city, in the Huerto de la Rueda, the Ifelor site and other prominent areas within the Lorca Fair, more than 70 containers of 1,100 liters of capacity will be installed, to which They join around 60 120-liter containers installed as litter bins in leisure areas.
As a novelty this fair, fruit of the collaboration between Limusa and the Association of Hoteliers of Lorca (Hostelor) that began in Holy Week, various containers for the collection of containers and glass will be installed in the different areas where the Day Fair takes place , with the aim of reducing the number of containers, glasses and bottles that are thrown to the ground in areas such as Plaza Calderón, Plaza de España and Abastos, Corredera and adjacent streets or Álamo and Nogalte streets, among others.
A permanent cleaning service of toilets will be maintained in the Huerto de la Rueda, dressing rooms and booths in enclosures where the different musical performances take place, and extraordinary cleaning required by sports facilities will be carried out due to the needs of the activities programmed within of the Guadalentín Sports Games.
The Councilor of Public Companies highlighted "the commitment" of the City of Lorca so that all municipal services work perfectly for the next few days, in which Lorca receives a large number of visitors, while continuing to meet the daily needs of the city.
