• Torn bars, broken fences and robberies in houses is the balance of the last days that keeps the neighbors with a sense of insecurity to which the PP requests a strong response from the City Council.

The Councilor for Security in the City of Lorca by the Popular Party, María Belén Pérez, has asked the current local government to immediately deploy an extraordinary operation in districts to ensure the safety of neighbors, given the numerous robberies with force in private homes that have been registered over the last few days taking as a more prominent example those that are produced in the district of Tercia, taking advantage of the fact that residents move to the town center to enjoy the days of the Fair.

We have had the opportunity to accompany the neighbors to know first hand what has happened, checking the damages existing in several homes, from which numerous valuables, electronic material and personal belongings have been stolen, among other things, in addition to the damage and material damage.

The neighbors have seen how they literally ripped the bars of their houses and broke the perimeter fence of their plots, accentuating the feeling of insecurity.

We are talking, therefore, of robberies with force.

María Belén Pérez has indicated that throughout the last years from the City of Lorca we established a special plan that included all the members of our Local Police, coordinated in particular with the Civil Guard and National Police, with the objective of providing coverage to all the points of our wide municipal term during the days of our Fair and Parties.

In this way, and thanks to the coordination of security work with all the effects of the different bodies, our districts were also monitored.

We are talking about a plan that worked, and we want it to be maintained, following the request of the neighbors themselves.

Pérez Martínez has indicated that from the Popular Party we demand that the neighbors of the districts continue to receive the attention they deserve in matters of security, and that the service is not diminished during the days of the Fair.

For this reason we request that a special operation be established to prevent similar situations from reproducing over the next few days, since that is precisely what the Lorca are asking us to do.

We are aware of the great effort carried out by our agents of the Local Police, a task for which they deserve the recognition of all citizens, but it is clear that on behalf of Citizens and PSOE they are not knowing how to manage management tasks diligently and management of large human capital and the material and equipment resources available to them.

That is why we request greater diligence and attention on issues that have to do with citizen security.
