The contest, which has been presented by about twenty groups, has awarded a first prize consisting of the recording of an EP of five tracks in a professional studio and the second classified will record, in this case, two of his songs.
The Councilor of Celebrations of the City of Lorca, José Ángel Ponce, congratulated Dog Manhattan the winning group of the first edition of the contest of bands 'Suena Lorca'.
Ponce has detailed that "to this first edition of the contest, which took place on Wednesday, September 25 at the Huerto de la Rueda, and for which about twenty participants presented their models so that, finally, there were three bands selected to perform his songs live: Dog Manhattan, Archangel and Flamenco Fyah. "
The Councilor explains that "the contest had a jury formed by staff of the departments of Celebrations and Youth, as well as people with knowledge in the world of music that valued music quality, staging, musical projection and composition of songs and the winning group, Dog Manhattan has been awarded with the recording of a five-track EP and the second ranked recording of two of his songs. "
José Ángel Ponce thanked all the groups "for their participation in this first musical event organized to give the space that deserves the enormous talent of the multitude of Lorca singers and musicians and, thus, to recover the opportunities they have lost for so many years and, We guarantee that from this Government Team we will recover the importance they deserve through the creation of new spaces and initiatives of this type ".
