Councilwoman Gloria Martín puts a solution on the table and asks the Mayor, Diego José Mateos (PSOE), to improve the communication channels between the City Council and the neighbors because there are issues that cannot be resolved at the blow of "escaped phone ", but they require working groups in which they can participate jointly responsible politicians, technicians and affected for the recovery of the service
The councilor of Izquierda Unida-Verdes, Gloria Martín, has lamented that the promise that the Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos (PSOE) made to fathers and mothers users of the Point of Childhood of La Paca, has not been fulfilled, that has not reopened its doors on October 1 as planned.
A problem that also affects that of La Hoya and for which Martin also demands solutions.
The councilwoman of IU-Verdes has said she feels "disappointed" because the local government team has not been "diligent" when applying a solution for the maintenance of these two centers, which were working through smaller contracts "that do not give cover the costs of a service that is necessary, regardless of its economic profitability. "
"We know it is a problem inherited from the previous local administration, but more than three months was enough time to get them back on track," he said.
In any case, the councilor of Izquierda Unida has continued to insist on the proposal she made last August regarding the PAI of La Paca and would go through a model of "self-management" of the service, with municipal support, through the federation Spartaria, which brings together neighbors from all the villages of northern Lorca.
For this reason, he has asked the Mayor and the councilor of the branch, Antonia Pérez, to convene a meeting with the board of directors of this federation and with the group of mothers and fathers because "we know that this alternative is viable only with saving small issues ".
In this regard, Martin has demanded that "the communication channels between the City Council and the neighbors be improved" because there are issues that cannot be resolved by the "escaped telephone", but require work tables in which jointly responsible parties can participate. politicians, technicians and affected to solve doubts and plan the provision of the service.
Martin's solution involves making a contract of less than five or six months with Espartaria, to allow time for this federation to proceed to its registration in the autonomous registry of service providers, for which it will also be necessary from the Ministry of Family meets this request as quickly as possible.
Once this procedure has been overcome, it would simply be necessary to carry out a demand transfer by the City Council in favor of Espartaria, and grant a direct subsidy, as is the case with other associations that deal with the attention of social groups.
Therefore, Martín has asked the City Council to "redouble its efforts" because no one would understand that it was precisely a socialist administration responsible for the closure of the Child Care Points.
In that sense, he recalled that the residents of the rural areas of the municipality can not be punished with the suppression of more public services, and that he expects from the PSOE "sensitivity" and "efficiency in management" to maintain the attention to children of 0 to 3 years as a measure of support for the reconciliation of work and family life of their parents, as well as to encourage the repopulation of towns that, otherwise, will be condemned to progressive aging.
