Red Cross Lorca will install its volunteer points to collect food donations for needy families;

There will be tastings of local wines and cheeses, live cooking, and prizes for the best customers.

The Councilor for Squares and Markets of the City of Lorca, José Ángel Ponce, has informed that this Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19 will take place the 4th Day "My place + Solidarity" which is celebrated on the occasion of World Food Day in the Plaza de Abastos de Lorca.

The mayor of Squares and Markets has detailed that the planned activities will begin this next Friday from 10 am with 'Live Cooking' with teachers and students of the School of Hospitality of Lorca, students of the Middle Degree in Cooking and Gastronomy and students of Medium Degree of Services in Restoration.

Ponce added that also for this Friday there will be from 11 hours tastings of wines from the land of Lorquina de Distribuciones y Beverages, and artisan goat cheeses 'El Roano' de Purias.

For Saturday, October 19, from 9 am, the Red Cross of Lorca will set up its volunteer points in the Supply Square where food donations can be delivered by "my solidarity neighbors".

At 10 am the official inauguration of "Mi plaza + solidaria" is scheduled, which will be attended by the Councilor for Squares and Markets of the City of Lorca, José Ángel Ponce, the president of the Red Cross Lorca, Martín Ruiz Artero and the president from the Plaza de Abastos de Lorca, Lucía Jódar.

Starting at 11 am there will be 'Live Cooking' with AMC Lorca and with fresh food and pasta that La Espiga donated by the Guadanatura Association.

At 12 noon, the "FAITHFUL CUSTOMER 2019" recognition of the Supply Square is planned.
