The popular will claim in the next municipal plenary that the Point of Attention to Children of La Hoya is reopened immediately, and denounce that it constitutes a clear example of marginalization against the neighbors of this district
The Councilor for Equality in the City of Lorca for the Popular Party, María de las Huertas García, along with the candidate from Lorca to the Congress of Deputies, Antonia López, have denounced the total lack of attention that Citizens and PSOE are showing with the problem existing in La Hoya after the closure of the municipal nursery.
The paralysis that exists in the municipal management because of Citizens and PSOE is very evident, and not only damages the projects that we leave prepared, drafted and with the secured financing, but also reaches the provision of services, such as case of the municipal nursery of La Hoya.
Given these facts, the Popular Party is going to demand that the City Council proceed to the immediate opening of the Point of Attention to Children of La Hoya, urgently initiating the procedures and procedures necessary for this, as it has recently done with the Point of Attention to Children of La Paca.
It is also going to demand that the City Council promote actions related to the social promotion of the Point of Attention to Children of La Hoya as a center for reconciling work, personal and family life for the village and its surroundings, and that it should be the necessary departure, within the municipal budgets 2020, to promote a regulated procedure that guarantees economic sustainability and the provision of these services throughout the school year in the public conciliation centers of the municipality.
Currently, the City of Lorca keeps only the Cazalla Child Care Center open.
In recent days the session has proceeded to award the service for the Point of Child Care of La Paca without having started its activity to date, although the course should have started on September 2.
The reality is that in Lorca while the Popular Party managed the City Council, we managed to launch the Infant School of the Cat and the nurseries of La Paca, La Hoya, Cazalla, these under the denomination of Points of Attention to Children (PAI).
Regarding the Point of Attention to Children of La Hoya we know that no management has been carried out to continue providing the service that in recent years has been developed in its facilities, and that it has been the company itself that has He worked in the center in the last year which has offered an alternative for those families who had been left homeless by the inaction in this regard of Citizens and PSOE.
Even so, we have proof that there are several families that today have no possibility of moving outside the urban center of the village and need the reopening of this municipal nursery.
The Child Care Centers and the Child Care Points are socio-educational services specialized in the care of children under 4 months to 3 years of age, intended to meet the needs of families and promote the reconciliation of family life and Labor of mothers, fathers, guardians or legal representatives.
The existence of a context that enables the achievement of children's rights from birth, as established by the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, is the responsibility of public policies, which must ensure their accessibility to families, guarantee equal opportunities and offer quality institutions that can complement and compensate for family work and commit to the well-being of children.
Child Care Centers and Child Care Points represent a first educational context with which families, girls and boys meet.
The relationships established in them have a unique character, making them privileged spaces for socialization and the exercise of citizenship.
The implementation of the Centers and Points of Attention to Children whose ownership is held by the City of Lorca, responds to the model that is developed in the regulatory ordinance and opens the possibility of focusing the efforts of the Local Administration on the creation of a Quality Network .
In this sense, the Centers and Points of Attention to Children intend to develop services that cover the needs of attention of boys and girls aged between 4 months and 3 years of age.
These centers will be constituted as a space that facilitates the reconciliation of work, family and personal life, making working hours compatible with mothers, fathers / guardians or legal representatives with attention to basic, socio-educational and leisure needs and Free time for children under 3 years of age.
