The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, together with the Councilor for Education, Antonia Pérez, have attended this morning the reception of the native teachers who during this week will practice their profession in Lorca.
The mayor of Lorca has detailed that "specifically these teachers come from Italy, Slovenia, Greece and the United Kingdom who will spend all this week at the Andrés García Soler Primary and Infant Education College thanks to the Erasmus + program in which they participate."
The mayor has remarked that "the objective of this initiative is to open ourselves to Europe, increase digital competence of both students and teachers, as well as language skills, especially English. Enrich professionally and culturally, without forgetting that all of them can enjoy a city as fantastic as Lorca is and the benefits that these cultural exchanges have to carry out at a professional level since both the professors who come and those who receive them in our town are enriched ".
Mateos has asked Lorca teachers "to take advantage of it and that you lived the experience and know to open your mind" and that is that "during these seven days our teachers will also learn from the professionals who visit us and can soak up the educational practices that they are launched in other countries and that can be applied in Lorca to improve, facilitate and liven up, if possible, our children the educational attention they receive. "
Diego José Mateos explained that "this program, Erasmus +, has a European scope and is designed for the exchange of practices between countries on issues related to education, training, youth and sports.
