The Lorca Livestock, Industrial and Agri-Food Fair, SEPOR, will celebrate its 52nd edition from November 4 to 7 at the Lorca Fair and Congress Center (IFELOR).
The mayor of Lorca and president of SEPOR, Diego José Mateos;
the general director of Livestock of the Autonomous Community, Francisco José Espejo, the general director of Commerce of the CARM, Carolina Espinosa, and the director of the exhibition, Patry Bermúdez, presented the poster and the technical program of the Parador this morning contest that will again make Lorca and the Region of Murcia a national and international reference in promotion, research and commitment to the sector.
SEPOR has several new features this year: the exhibition space is expanded with a new pavilion and facilities for conference rooms are improved.
Another novelty is the conversion of the Avian Monograph into a National Poultry Symposium with more days of celebration and a specific exhibition area for this agri-food subsector.
Together with the National Association of Animal Carriers, the ANTA Conference is launched in this 52nd edition with the aim of continuing to train all the links that participate in the food chain.
Food security will have a leading role in the inaugural session with a day in which advances in antimicrobial resistance in animal health will be analyzed.
Another addition to the program is the Women's Leadership Day (LIFEM) dedicated to highlighting the role of women as a driver of innovation in the agricultural sector.
The fair faces its most international edition with the celebration of trade missions with important companies from China, Japan, Paraguay and ministerial representatives of Equatorial Guinea.
This action is carried out jointly with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lorca and the Institute of Development of the Region of Murcia.
In addition, an expedition of Swedish businessmen interested in the Spanish meat sector will also reach Lorca.
The president of SEPOR said during the presentation that "one more year Lorca will become an international benchmark in the industrial and agri-food sector, but especially in the livestock sector. As every year to our city, professionals and experts from different points of the national scene will arrive and also from other countries to share the different techniques and ways of working within the same sector. Highlight from this edition 2019, the day dedicated to the important role of women as a driver of innovation in the agricultural sector. "

Thus, the International Pig Symposium will begin on Tuesday, November 5 with the best experts in animal production, health and welfare.
