The Government Team of the City of Lorca will take to the next plenary a project that includes measures such as the drop of 2 percent of the IBI.

All with the aim of achieving greater redistribution of wealth, more environmental efficiency, and above all, to alleviate the pocket of Lorca.

The Councilor for Finance of the City of Lorca, Isidro Abellán, presented this morning the draft Fiscal Ordinances for the year 2020.

Abellán explained that "this Fiscal Ordinance project is characterized by pursuing a greater redistribution of wealth, greater environmental efficiency, and above all, by alleviating the pocket of Lorca and Lorca, and among other bonuses and exemptions in various taxes and fees, Abellán will propose to the Municipal Plenary a 2 percent decrease in the IBI for all those taxpayers who domicile the tax or already have it domiciled. "

The councilor of the Treasury has stressed that "these are measures that arise from the dialogue with the other municipal groups and in which we have expressed many of the suggestions received. I want to make special mention of the contributions made by the municipal group of Izquierda Unida Verdes , which have enriched this proposal of measures that we present: Measures that attempt to recover the purchasing power of Lorca and Lorca and that will mean a decrease in revenue for this City Council but that we will compensate with a reduction in expenses via optimization of municipal resources and that will be visualized in the next project of Municipal Budgets for 2020 ".

Abellán Chicano has detailed that "from the outset, among the proposed modifications for the next year 2020, it is worth noting that we are not going to apply the rise in the CPI, which is why we are facing a tax drop in real terms and, in addition, we are going to apply a reduction of 2 percent in the IBI, via bonus both for those receipts that are domiciled and for those of new domiciliation.This is the star measure of these Fiscal Ordinances, which satisfies a demand of the Lorca, and that will suppose a savings for the pocket of citizens of more than € 250,000, a quarter of a million euros.
