The Councilor for Health of the City of Lorca, José Ángel Ponce, meets with the manager of the Murcia Health Service, Asensio López, to convey the health claims of the municipality of Lorca.
Ponce explained that "among the issues discussed, the need to continue improving primary care in the different health centers, both in the city and in districts, stands out, understanding that it is the main link that should continue to be reinforced as a measure to decongest the health services. emergencies, both from SUAP Sutullena and Rafael Méndez University General Hospital ".
The mayor has demanded "measures to decongest the Emergency Service of Primary Care (SUAP) of Sutullena, the most saturated in the Region of Murcia, and for this, both responsible have agreed on the need for the municipality of Lorca, by population and territory, it has a second emergency service of primary care since the current one, the SUAP of Lorca, as revealed by a Health report, is the one that has carried more care in the Region in the last year with 40,397 assistances. "
Ponce Díaz, in this sense, has conveyed "the need for CARM to address the construction of the necessary health center in the neighborhood of the neighborhood as soon as possible, an issue that for the City of Lorca is 'irrevocable' and should include that service of fundamental urgency for the Lorca population ".
The Councilor for Health has insisted on the need to "speed up the installation of the TAC and the MRI unit donated by the Amancio Ortega Foundation to the Rafael Méndez Hospital and which they have available since June 2017.
