The Consistory will hire a company specializing in tree care to transplant those to whom a new location should be sought, which will also be agreed with the neighbors themselves.
The Councilor for Development of the City of Lorca, Isabel Casalduero, has announced that "from the Consistory we share the concern and concern shown this morning by Pedro Sosa, spokesman of the United Left Green Municipal Group, on the conservation of green spaces in our city and more specifically about thirty trees that are planted on the Caravaca road. "
Casalduero has advanced that "the City Council has not remained idly in front of a situation that, remember, is the result of a project that is arranged from the Government of the Region of Murcia and was agreed with the previous Government Team. A project that does not respect the tree species present in the area to carry out the renovation work since the action included the removal of these, an action that we have not tolerated. "
The Edil has explained that "for this reason, now, from the Municipal Consistory and with its new mayor at the head, Diego José Mateos, we have held meetings with both the residents of the area and with the project executing company reaching the agreement to act in such a way that only the essential trees are removed to carry out the improvement works in one of the main access roads to the city and, also, we have requested a construction report to know the exact number of trees that must be removed ", detailed the councilwoman.
Casalduero Jódar has also informed that "the City Council of Lorca, in its commitment to the maintenance and creation of green spaces in our city, has made the decision to make a great effort and hire a specialized company for replanting the objective that the trees that are completely necessary are preserved in perfect condition and can be transplanted to other areas of the municipality. "
The Councilor for Development has revealed that "the place where these trees are planted again will also be a participatory decision as it will be agreed with the neighbors. One more bet of this Government Team to give voice to a town that has been silent for many years and has not been allowed to make any decision about its city. "
