The Councilor for Agriculture of the City of Lorca, Antonio Navarro, has announced that "during the first week of next December the planting of poinsettias flowers will begin, which will decorate our squares and gardens during these next Christmas and that they have been cultivated in recent months in the municipal nursery of different varieties and different colors. "
The mayor of Agriculture has detailed that "in the municipal nursery we have a total of 4,500 flowers of Easter with a total cost of production of € 0.45 per plant, which represents a saving on the market value of around € 20,000" .
According to Navarro, "the municipal nursery of the City Council is the one of greater capacity of own production of all the region of Murcia, and it is necessary to emphasize the saving in costs so considerable that supposes us".
In addition, the mayor has added that "they are already working on the plantations that will be used after Christmas to get all the parks and gardens of our municipality to look splendid all year."
