The 'Triunfador' prize of the Bullfighting Fair of Murcia 2019 has corresponded for the second consecutive year to the bullfighter of Lorca Francisco Ureña, who was already recognized as the most prominent figure of the Bullfighting Fair of Murcia last 2018. The jury of these awards, a The initiative that the Autonomous Community calls each year has also distinguished José María Trigueros from Murcia as the best bullfighter or right-handed Diego Ventura as the most prominent rejoneador.
This was announced today by the Minister of Presidency and Finance, Javier Celdrán, who was part of the jury.
After the meeting, Celdrán stressed that the Region "pioneered the protection of bullfighting with its declaration as an Intangible Cultural Interest Property and, as such, should be considered cultural heritage. Initiatives such as these awards allow us to fulfill the obligation we have all, and especially public authorities, to ensure the conservation and enrichment of this expression of the identity of the Region. "
The bulls of the livestock of Daniel Ruiz also had a prominent place in the awards of the 2019 Fair, since they obtained the prize in both the category of Best Livestock and that of the best Bull, which fell on the horned 'Duke'.
The bullfighter from Lorca, Paco Ureña, was also honored with the Valor prize, while Morante also won two awards, for the best Bullfight of Capote and the best Slaughter in Corridas.

The jury chose as right-winger in the Festejos Menor the right-handed Álvaro Ruiz, from the School of Murcia, as well as Ferrera for the most artistic task, and the banderillero Fernando Sánchez, from the Ferrera gang, won the prize for the best Par of Banderillas.
