Martín explained that, in just one week, a worker of the Administration of Justice and the client of an establishment located in the area of ​​the old supply square have been attacked in broad daylight to take away their purses.
The hooded criminal attacked them from behind, throwing them to the ground and causing them serious injuries.
Last Saturday, there was also the theft of several clothes in an establishment on Corredera Street.
The councilor of the United Left-Greens has pointed out the abandonment of the historic center as one of the causes that allows criminals to act with "total impunity".
"These streets, empty, full of dilapidated and uninhabited buildings and without a police presence, are becoming the shameful and depressing scene of robberies with violence and vandalism despite the numerous promises and unfulfilled commitments, until now, for absolutely all those who they have had or are responsible for the recovery of this emblematic space, "said Martin.
Gloria Martín has also referred to the feeling of "fear" and "insecurity" suffered by older women who come to the churches in the area and are "persecuted" by people who live from begging until they get alms.

"They were promised a Local Police headquarters to solve the lack of public services in the area, and even, in an election campaign, a sign was placed on the premises of Caballón Street where they planned to open it, which is still there," said Martin who asked for his withdrawal "because it is no longer a time for electoral promises but for his fulfillment".
