Next Monday, November 25, in the morning several manifests will be read in the Plaza de España and in the afternoon at the Teatro Guerra the short film 'You will see' will be screened in the film workshops of the courses taught by the Popular University and FOM Lorca will stage the play 'The Forgotten'.
The Councilor for Equality of the City of Lorca, Antonia Pérez, has detailed, this morning, the events planned for next Monday, November 25, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Perez recalled that "from the Department of Equality of the City of Lorca has organized a full program of awareness activities through which Lorca and Lorca are showing their rejection of the social scourge that is violence against women."
The mayor stressed that this next Monday, November 25, from 12 noon will be read the manifesto 'Linked against violence' by members of the Fundación Secretariado Gitano, will be in the Plaza de España and, at 1:30 p.m., in this same place there will be a 'Promotion against violence' by the Youth Council and the Federation of Women's Organizations of Lorca (FOM Lorca) ".
Already in the afternoon at 17:45, in the Plaza Calderón de la Barca, this day will be commemorated through the institutional act in memory of the victims of gender violence, an act that will feature a floral offering in the monolith that honors them in front of the Guerra Theater and, after that, the short film 'You will see' will be screened in the theater workshops of the courses taught by the Popular University, directed by the filmmaker Benito Rabal;
later a manifesto will be read in rejection of these violent actions;
awards prizes for the #Lorcaporlosbuenostratos #miretoymecomprometo photography competitions will be held, as well as the already traditional theatrical show of the members of the Federation of Women's Organizations of Lorca who this year interpret the play 'The forgotten' and that is directed by José Ramón Moya.
Also for the 19 hours of this Monday is the inauguration of the exhibition 'Crisálidas' by Juan Jiménez Asensio which can be enjoyed in the JG Digital Studio Room located on Colmenarico Street, 18 in Lorca.
Jiménez Asensio has developed part of his work at the School of Plastic Arts of Lorca, which forced him to put aside his work as a painter who is slowly returning.
At 19:30 hours from the Plaza Calderón de la Barca and organized by the Federation of Women's Associations of Lorca (FOM Lorca) there will be a demonstration in rejection of gender violence whose route will run through the main streets of the city: Lope Gisbert Street, Oval, Juan Carlos I Avenue, Alamo Street and Plaza de España.
In addition, from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., in the Plaza de España we can enjoy 'Rhythms against violence', an activity in which, through music, we want to show support to all the victims of the gender violence
In addition, some educational centers of the municipality such as José Robles schools;

San José and the Bartolomé Pérez Casas Institute have not wanted to be left out of such an important claim and will host from Monday and until next Thursday an activity aimed at children of the Caixa Proinfancia Program of the Cepaim Foundation, entitled 'Butterflies in the throat' .
Other events will complete this extensive program until next Saturday, November 30, such as the meeting of the Local Coordination Table Against Gender Violence of Lorca addressed to professionals members of this Coordination Table, the feminist reading club 'Cazalleras.
