The Councilor for Citizen Security of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, said that on Saturday, November 23, the feast of San Clemente, this Department will establish special traffic rules for both pedestrian traffic and for that of vehicles in the immediate vicinity of the Castle.
The Councilor for Public Safety has explained that "because of the pilgrimage planned for tomorrow the ascent of access vehicles to the Castle will be obligatory by the Carretera de La Parroquia, RM-701 and the Northern Ring of the Castle, except between 13 and 15 hours that will be cut to road traffic, except vehicles authorized according to road safety circumstances. "
Ruiz has added that "as for the descent from the Castle, the road that runs between Los Pilones to the San José neighborhood is established as obligatory for vehicles, and the ascent of vehicles by this route is prohibited."
The mayor has pointed out that "as on previous occasions the Local Police will maintain a special surveillance and information service to achieve a better development and compliance with these regulations. The agents will also monitor the parking and alternative routes for the better development of traffic safety in the city".
In addition, the Sur del Castillo ring road that runs along the hillside closest to the city, which will be used for pedestrian traffic, will be completely cut off to vehicle traffic.

It will not be possible to park after 3 pm in the streets through which the procession will run and not so many can be circulated on the routes of the itinerary as well as the adjacent ones from 7 pm, offering an alternative itinerary.
Ruiz Guillén has asked citizens to collaborate so that these parties can take place without any problem and has asked them to understand the inconvenience they may have caused and reminded that, for the best development of traffic safety in our city, the Local Police will monitor the itineraries.
