The breach of the Coexistence Ordinance establishes as a precautionary measure, the collection and destruction of alcoholic beverages that has been carried out this week at the Barranco Hondo waste management plant.
The Councilor for Citizen Security of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, has reported the destruction of 3,500 units of alcoholic beverages intervened in different inspections and controls to premises "24 hours" for breach of the regulations.
The Councilor for Public Safety has explained that "the work was carried out in recent days at the waste management plant in Barranco Hondo, where some 3,500 units of alcoholic beverages were destroyed, among which are among others, liters of beer, bottles of wine, vodka, gin or whiskey. "
Ruiz Guillén has detailed that "this destruction is a product of the forfeiture as a precautionary measure carried out by the Administrative Security Unit (USAD) of the Local Police of Lorca, to ensure compliance with the conditions on sale of alcoholic beverages to the public provided in the Ordinance for the protection of citizen coexistence and prevention of antisocial actions of food stores '24 hours' in which the aforementioned beverages must be located in places physically separated from the remaining articles and independently, thus being able to close such areas during the schedule in which its sale is not allowed (from 22 hours to 8 hours) and therefore it is prohibited to expose alcoholic beverages in shop windows or windows, and, in general, in places easily visible from outside. "
The mayor has added that "due to this breach, the Coexistence Ordinance of Lorca, establishes as a precautionary measure, the collection and destruction of alcoholic beverages."
Finally, Ruiz Guillén has insisted that "on behalf of the Local Police, actions for the prevention of such behaviors will continue."
