The councilors of Citizen Security and Equality of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén and Antonia Pérez, have announced, this morning, the accession of Lorca to the 'Protocol of Collaboration and Coordination between State Security Forces and Corps and the Police Bodies Local for the protection of victims of domestic and gender violence. "
The mayor of Citizen Security has detailed that "the City of Lorca demonstrates, once again, its commitment to victims of gender violence and therefore incorporates its Local Police Corps into the VioGen System, to improve the effectiveness of the collaboration and guarantee the integral nature of protection in the municipality ".
"In the Municipal Plenary corresponding to the month of November, the incorporation of the local Police to the Protocol of Collaboration and Coordination between State Security Forces and Corps and the Local Police Corps for the protection of victims of domestic violence and of gender 'with the fundamental objective of establishing the basic criteria of collaboration and coordination that allow optimizing the human and material resources of the Security Forces and Bodies existing in the municipality, to ensure effective compliance with judicial protection measures for victims of gender violence, "continued the councilor.
José Luis Ruiz Guillén has stated that "both Security Corps competent in the geographical area of ​​the municipality of Lorca will participate in police actions arising from cases of protection for victims, although to monitor the protection of victims, they will be assigned between the two Bodies, the responsibility on all of them falls to both Security Forces. "
"Among the general principles that are acquired with this accession, the creation of a single police coordination center for the reception of orders for the protection of victims of gender violence and an efficient management of information and communications between the participating Security Forces more efficient and whose ultimate responsibility will ultimately belong to the Lorca National Police Station, the establishment of a system of good practices that avoid aggravating the status of victims, complementation and inter-corporate support under the interest of granting comprehensive protection to the victim or the access of the agents of the Local Police to the resources of VioGen necessary to carry out in the most effective way their work of protection ", explained the Edil.
For its part, the Councilor for Equality has remarked that "Gender Violence is a national problem and to achieve its eradication requires a great State Pact. From the Socialist Party we have been claiming for years with civil society and organizations of women, a social, political and institutional agreement against violence against women and their daughters and sons. Antonia Pérez has thanked "the support of all political groups with representation in the Plenary of the City Council, as well as the close collaboration between councils and of course between the bodies and State Security Forces" and explained that "from the City of Lorca we work to eradicate gender violence from the different municipal services and with this same objective the Local Police intervenes directly in the monitoring and protection of victims of gender violence.
