The tendering of the underground accumulates another year of delay.

The recovery of the connection with Andalusia, planned for 2023, will also be breached, unless what the PSOE intends is to make the roads and then consider the underground, a possibility that the PP rejects flat.
The Spokesman of the Municipal Municipal Group in the City of Lorca and President of the local PP, Fulgencio Gil, has reported this morning that this political formation, in the face of continuous breaches and delays of the Ministry of Development, will require the current mayor the urgent call for a meeting of the Pro Soterramiento Platform of our city, with the objective of claiming a coherent explanation by the central government about the marginalization that we continue to suffer from Lorca in what has to do with the arrival of the AVE to our city, the urban integration, the underground and the construction works of the new station that has to take over from the current stop in San Diego and the general reform that has to be carried out at the Sutullena station.
The Ministry of Development had to have tendered the works of the integration of the railroad in our urban area several months ago.
In fact we will accumulate another year of delay, because it will not do so in the remainder of the year.
Fulgencio Gil recalled that the last meeting of the Platform took place on November 7 of last year, a reason more than enough to sit back and analyze what is happening with this issue.
The truth is that while the Lorca are still condemned to use the oldest trains in Europe, in other areas of Spain they enjoy the most modern in Europe, an imbalance that we will not tolerate to continue, since the PSOE is systematically delaying all projects for the arrival of the AVE to our city that were committed by the Ministry of Development, and that were announced and ratified by the minister of the branch, Iñigo de la Serna in April 2018 in our own city.
From the PP we prepared the road map, starting deadlines, money and concrete projects to the Ministry, but it was to reach the PSOE to the central government, and everything has gone to waste.
Now no responsible for the Ministry reports this matter and try to let the Lorca people forget the issue.
13 months without answer of the problems that force to extend the underground.
The Lorca people started the commitment to urban integration to the Ministry of Development, and even 13 months ago we transferred the technical difficulties detected by municipal officials, which forced them to extend the distance to be buried to 3.6.
Recall that it was, fundamentally, that they had not contemplated the existence of a canalization of the transfer under the Rambla de las Señoritas, and the need to save the Guadalentín river bed with a depth that would grant the necessary safety conditions in case of floods .

Fulgencio Gil has indicated that a smoke screen has been launched on this whole issue.
Meanwhile, the current central government remains silent on the arrival of the AVE to the city, the recovery of the railway line with Almeria and Granada and the burial of the tracks as it passes through the urban fabric of the city.
The issues related to the AVE remain sleeping in a drawer, they have slowed down, and we can already affirm that the planned date to reopen the connection by train with Andalusia, established in the first months of 2023, will be practically impossible to meet.
The disinterest of the PSOE with this issue is especially irresponsible, since instead of fulfilling the commitments that had already been reached, it has opted to take investments and money to other sites.
This hurts Lorca, because precisely the PSOE, which dismantled the roads in the 80s when he ruled in Lorca, Murcia and Madrid, has lost the opportunity to at least partially compensate the damage caused.
We are talking about a railway line that historically communicated with the sister municipalities of Almeria and Granada, and that allowed the generation of commercial and social synergies between multiple regions of different provinces.
"Let us prevent a new generation from suffering the consequences of the most serious error in railway communication in the history of Spain."
What we want from the PP is that the central government reacts at once, grant the urgency that the Lorca people deserve with this matter, and that there is not a new generation of Lorca, Murcia and Andalusians who suffer the consequences of the worst error in matters of Railway communications of the history of Spain.
We want them to respect these regions and that when an Almeria wants to travel to our Region, it has an AVE, that when a Lorca wants to go to Granada, too, and that when a young person wants to come to study at our University Campus, he will have a Comfortable, functional and operational high-speed train.
