All these actions have been carried out during the past week, and three of the detainees had stolen, in a shop of the Almenara Shopping Center, garments, all of them from known franchises, worth 776 euros.
The Councilor for Citizen Security of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén has reported that members of the GISC Unit of the Local Police of Lorca, proceeded, during this past week (November 25 to December 1), to the arrest of seven people for alleged crimes of theft, resistance and crime against road safety, thanks to the preventive and operational actions carried out by the Local Police Corps.
The mayor of Public Safety has detailed that "the first action took place after the 092 room received the notice that three people could find themselves stealing clothes in the Almenara Shopping Center. Quickly, agents of the GISC unit along with a provision of the UDIP unit, moved to the place where with the help of the security service of said center, these three people were located, two of them inside the center and the third was located outside waiting on board a vehicle " .
Ruiz Guillén has pointed out that "when the agents requested the latter to leave the tourism to proceed to inspect it, he offered a strong resistance, having to be reduced by force, resulting in minor injuries to both agents. Once reduced, it was found that inside the trunk there were a large number of garments, all of them from known franchises, as well as two bags used to circumvent security systems. "
The councilor added that "once the steps were taken, with those responsible for the corresponding establishments, it was known that these garments had been stolen, and that their value amounted to a total of 776 euros, so the arrest was carried out of these three people for the crime of theft and resistance. "
"Two of the detainees had numerous records, most of them for similar events, and the third was irregularly located in Spain. The detainees were transferred to the Civil Guard post in Lorca for judicial provision and the garments were delivered to their corresponding establishments ", concluded the mayor of Public Safety.
On the other hand, as a result of the controls and surveillance devices that have been carried out in the municipality of Lorca, members of the GISC unit have arrested three people for crimes against road safety.
Two of them for driving under the influence of alcohol exceeding the legally established rate for committing a crime and a third for driving a tourism without ever obtaining a driver's license or license.
A person was also arrested on whom an expulsion order rested from the national territory, being transferred to the immigration brigade of the National Police Corps.
Finally, Ruiz Guillén has stressed that "with these important actions the constant preventive / operational work of the Local Police of Lorca is confirmed through the different units in which it is organized and through the surveillance devices and controls established in the entire municipal term, as well as its coordination with the rest of the Security Forces and Bodies ".
