It is a central pipeline that spills the rainwater outlet, and has a radial system to receive contributions from multiple points, including those that usually have more problems in case of heavy rains
The Spokesman of the Popular Municipal Group in the City of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has highlighted the progress made within the Working Group against floods in the area of the hamlet of Campillo, constituted at the request of the President of the Autonomous Community, Fernando López, following the visit to the area he made weeks ago with the aim of verifying the damages caused by the heavy rainfall recorded during the month of September.
In the afternoon of yesterday we held a new meeting to assess the alternatives that have been working on the part of the technicians in the matter with the aim of specifying the solutions that avoid the repeated accumulations of water in case of avenues.
Fulgencio Gil stressed that this Bureau "is working and advancing correctly, attending to the needs of those affected, and putting on the table the work that has been carried out to date. We must point out that the technicians of the different administrations have been developing continuous supervision not only of the Campillo area, but also of areas belonging to the Purias and La Torrecilla councils, together with sectors on which the waterways that meet at Campillo are located.
The President of the local PP has indicated that of the exhibitions made at this Bureau, which has neighborhood representatives, as well as the Ministry of Development of the CARM, Community of Irrigators, Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS) and the City of Lorca itself , it is concluded that the most effective solution to end flooding in the area is the construction of rolling mills that were already projected in Béjar, Torrecilla and Nogalte.
Together with these three interventions, it has been necessary to establish a new route for the channeling and evacuation of water, which avoids its embalming.
This is what we have called Canal del Saladar, a central pipeline that spills the rainwater outlet, and that has a radial system to receive contributions from multiple points, including those that usually present more problems in case of heavy rains .
The common objective established by the administrations and the neighbors is to shorten to the maximum the necessary deadlines for the construction of the great canal that will evacuate through the Rambla de Biznaga the waters that until now are accumulated in Campillo and Torrecilla.
To do this, in the first place, the CHS has to establish an area of public hydraulic domain that will be located predictably in the area popularly known as El Saladar.
This intervention will allow the subsequent construction of the aforementioned Canal del Saladar, which will link to the Rambla de Biznaga, evacuating rainwater under the Bao Bridge.
What we have demanded from the PP of Lorca is that everything is done urgently, and that the Autonomous Community also proceed to coordinate the works that will execute the said bridge and under the highway of Eagles, also proceeding to the restitution of the roads owned by them that are affected by the project.
From the PP we consider that this Table constitutes a before and after to offer Lorca the resolution of these incidents, in a definitive and effective way.
All parties are aware that the works to be carried out require time for administrative processing and execution, so the Lorca Popular Party will be especially vigilant, supervising the work they have to complete each of the administrations involved in this task.
However, we are obliged to recommend to the representatives of the current local government that, from now on, they attend with constructive proposals to the meetings, since the only one they did yesterday was to request that the Autonomous Community leave this Table, with the consequent "embarrassment" of all present.
Fulgencio Gil has insisted on the imperative need to make public and consultable as soon as possible the draft of the demarcation for the recovery of the Rambla de Biznaga, a measure that the neighbors themselves are demanding.
We continue to insist that the neighbors have to know that this document is already made, and they deserve the opportunity to consult it today.
We are talking about a measure that would help keep those affected informed.
No one understands, particularly those affected, that instead of giving public access to this long-finished text, it has been stored in a drawer.
We demand that the opinion of the neighbors be counted, since nobody knows the land better than them.
