Once again El Paso Blanco collaborates in the enrichment of the cultural and solidarity agenda of Lorca at Christmas, organizing a large number of activities for all types of audiences.
A new activity stands out on this occasion: the premiere of a new Bethlehem that from this year will mount the White Pass, thus joining the great Belenist tradition of our city.
It is a Bethlehem of more than 300 pieces belonging to the Montesinos Pérez-Chirinos family and donated to the Santo Domingo Foundation.
The act of donation will take place on Friday, December 13 at 6:15 p.m. in the Chapel of the Rosary and, afterwards, the Bethlehem will be inaugurated, which this year will be exhibited at the CajaMurcia Foundation until January 6.
The Bethlehem dates back to the 40s, at which time Francisco Montesinos Iglesias began to gather pieces of the famous artisans Jesús Griñán Nicolás and Manuel Nicolás Almansa to set up a family Bethlehem in their home, a tradition that their children continued, D. Francisco and D. Eduardo Montesinos Pérez-Chirinos, increasing and enriching the Bethlehem year after year until today, when they have decided to donate their more than 300 pieces to the Santo Domingo Foundation.
This year's assembly at the CajaMurcia Foundation has been possible thanks to the collaboration of Guedi Piernas, Loli Pelegrín, Mercedes Sánchez, Ángela and Concepción Ruiz Carrasco, Mª del Carmen Montesinos, Carmen Guerrero, Diego Sánchez, Eduardo Montesinos, Eduardo Montesinos Ruiz, Claudio Montiel, Juan Carrillo, Manuel Sánchez, Enrique Sánchez and Mariano Llamas.
White Christmas continues with many other acts.
On December 14, the traditional collection of toys and food will begin.
The first one will be held in the club and will last until December 30, with the novelty that this year, in addition to toys, gel and shampoo will also be collected for the Association of friends of the Saharawi people.
The food collection in favor of Caritas will be held on the same day 14 in front of the Carrefour supermarket of the Parque Almenara shopping center and will be brightened up for another year with the Virgin de la Amargura Musical Group parade, which will begin at 6.30 pm with Your youth section.
The events will continue with the Christmas floral decoration workshop organized by the Ladies Choir of Our Lady of the Bitterness, which will take place on December 17 at the Casa del Paso at 20 hours.
Participants will make floral centers to decorate their homes on these dates.
The traditional White Store will open on Friday, December 20 at 7:30 p.m.
This year it will be located on Rebolloso street, which goes up to Calderón square, and will be inaugurated, as usual, with the Virgen de la Amargura Musical Group, which will make a parade to encourage all Lorca to make their purchases Christmas
On December 23, at 8:30 p.m., the Pérez Pérez Choir will offer a Christmas concert at the Rosario Chapel, and on Friday, December 27, at 8.30 p.m., the Eucharist will be celebrated in honor of St. Juan Evangelista, patron of the White Pass.
After the religious celebration, the Easter will be sung for another year and a tasting of typical Christmas sweets will be offered.
The Intercomissions Indoor Soccer Tournament organized every year [ajpb] will take place on Saturday, December 28 at 9 am at the Felipe VI sports complex.
Various El Paso commissions will participate in it and will end with the delivery of trophies and a coexistence in the afternoon at the Mercado del Sol.
One of the most anticipated activities of the year, AguiBBla's birthday and the visit of SS.MM.
The Magi from the East, will be held on January 4 from 18 hours.
Throughout the afternoon children will be able to perform various children's activities supervised and assisted by the members of [ajpb], organizers of the event.
In the middle of the afternoon, the Magi will adore the Infant Jesus in the Chapel of the Rosary and collect the letters of the children attending.
As a final climax, on January 5 the usual chocolate with roscón will be offered in the White Shop after the Three Kings parade, thus completing a Christmas full of activities with which the White Step intends to contribute its grain of sand so that our city shines in such marked dates.
