After the success of collecting toys in favor of the Red Cross during last Christmas, the director of Comarcal Televisión, Pedro Del Vas, Enrique José Casado, presented today the Christmas campaign of Comarcal TV “La Cura readingâ€�.

It is intended to collect the maximum possible number of books in order to create a solidarity library at the Rafael Méndez de Lorca University Hospital.

The books can be of all types and for all ages (patients, companions and health personnel), children, scientists, trips, adventures, self-help, literary, novel, technicians ... are collected.

They can be deposited in the Comarcal TV facilities located in Los Guiraos Street No. 10 of Lorca or in the management office of Parque Almenara Commercial Park throughout the month of December.

Ángela Ponce, as responsible for the campaign „Reading cure‟, explained that “the project was born to bring hope, evasion and fresh air to hospitalized peopleâ€�.

In addition, he also explained how the idea arose: “We are in a privileged space as a means of communication and we started working on our Christmas campaign, because of the proximity to the viewer we started thinking about what we could do.

And the idea of ​​a solidarity library quickly emerged at the Rafael Méndez University Hospital â€�.

The director of Comarcal TV, Pedro Del Vas, has detailed that the solidarity library will be inaugurated at the beginning of January and has thanked the many associations and schools that are collecting copies for, later, to donate them to this new project that is born “with a lot of hope".

This campaign has the support of the new Manager of Health Area III, Enrique José Casado, who from the beginning has shown his total predisposition for the project to become a reality.

Enrique José Casado explained that the Hospital is already working to install the solidarity library designed by Gabriel Bautista.

Last year, Comarcal TV managed to raise more than 2,000 toys for the Red Cross, this Christmas, with the collaboration of Parque Almenara and Area III of Health, the goal of the Guadalentín Valley television is to offer a fun and learning tool able to make hospital stay more enjoyable: a book.
