The popular denounce that people who aspire to municipal housing distrust the process, and have shown their discomfort after revealing that the mayor has already drafted a Specification that has hidden the owners and political groups
The Spokesman of the Municipal Municipal Group in the City of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, together with the Councilor for Social Welfare in the City of Lorca by the Popular Party, Mayte Martínez, has publicly denounced this morning that the current mayor is not offering any participation to municipal political groups with the issue of housing in San Fernando: "I was already seriously missing the slowness that has wanted to print this process, extending the deadlines, always acting late and in tow of what we were demanding. adds evidence: that the current mayor lacks a plan for these homes and is giving up and wasting time, while those interested in accessing one of the 59 available municipal homes do not have the information on what is happening. "
From the PP they have stated that we do not want to think that the delivery of these flats will be used to pay supposed favors to certain related people, so we will work at all costs to avoid "cronies" and "favor deals".
The way in which the current mayor is doing things is not helping anything for families who aspire to a house in San Fernando to think otherwise, so we require you to rectify and act with the transparency that the situation demands.
Fulgencio Gil said that "to all this, we have had to find out through the press that the mayor, on his own and without having anyone, has already written an alleged" Specification "that will serve as a filter to choose the families that access the floors of the Town Hall. It is unpresentable that such a document has been prepared without consulting the political groups. We are talking about a large project, which is being done with the back to the citizens, resorting to the usual " stretcher table "in which the current mayor has been much more comfortable to do and undo what he deems appropriate."
The leader of the PP has also denounced that the current mayor has already forgotten the commitment that this City Council has with the 8 families that have recognized Moral Law to access a municipal home in the neighborhood, but we do not.
Our support is total, and we are not going to accept excuses and tricks in this matter now.
The City Council must help them, which is what is agreed.
Each of them presents a complex, particular and complicated case, having as common denominator the fact that they lived in the neighborhood for more than 30 years, maintaining a good coexistence with their neighbors, and that following the earthquake have been problems of "paperwork "those who are complicating them return to their homes.
From the Popular Party, as has been done since the beginning with the issue of earthquakes, we are on the side of those affected, defending their interests, worrying about solving their problems and looking for solutions to solve any incident.
From the PP we reiterate that what the current mayor has to do is a Municipal Plan for Young Housing to allow families access to municipal flats that still remain wasted, giving value to the opinion of the neighbors as "conditio sine qua non" at the time of writing, developing and delivering the homes to the families benefiting from the aforementioned plan.
It is a measure of pure "common sense", since the main supporters of the reconstruction of the Neighborhood deserve that their voice has specific weight when establishing what is done with these properties.
What is clear is that the opportunity for rebirth that San Fernando has after the earthquakes cannot be truncated by repeating failures and erratic models from other times, much less do so against the opinion of the neighbors.
We also demand that the urgent transfer of the 6 floors destined for sheltered homes to the Lorca Ocegés Asofem, Asdifilor, Apandis and Down Lorca be accelerated.
We must remember that the reconstruction of the neighborhood was supported at all times also by the Regional Government, investing in its recovery a total of 7.5 million euros.
The reconstruction of the San Fernando neighborhood is one of the processes of management, coordination and joint work of public administrations and neighbors that we are sure will be studied as a role model in similar situations.
We are talking about rebuilding a whole neighborhood.
Throughout the process of rebuilding it was possible, by the hand of the neighbors themselves, to overcome stages, finding solutions to each and every one of the problems that were emerging along the way.
From the culmination of an agreement between the owners, until the beginning of the works of the housing blocks, through the obtaining of the necessary financing for the urbanization works, we have all remained united until the families return to their homes .
Looking back we see everything we have been able to achieve together.
