The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Local Police of Lorca, has developed the operation 'Battle Markt', aimed at clarifying a tumultuarial quarrel that took place in the vicinity of a shopping center in Lorca, which has been settled with the identification and detention / investigation of 15 people who allegedly participated in it.
After the operation, which is framed in the 'Improvement Plan Sector Trade Security', has clarified the facts with the arrest / investigation of fifteen people as alleged authors of the crimes of injuries and tumultuarial quarrel.
The proceedings began on December 7, when the Civil Guard was alerted to a considerable alteration of public order in the vicinity of a commercial center in Lorca.
Apparently, the imminent brawl was taking place near the parking lot of the mall, where members of two groups of people were fighting.
For this they used blunt objects like iron chains and sticks.
These facts generated among the rest of the people who were there, to make purchases, a manifest insecurity, to be surrounded among the participants of the fight.
At the scene, patrols of the Civil Guard and the Local Police were transferred.
Thanks to their immediate intervention they got the participants in the fight to depose their violent aptitude, thus avoiding a higher number of wounded.
The agents identified all the members of the two groups that participated in the fight, obtaining, in addition, the images of the security cameras of an establishment close to the place, which facilitated the researchers, knowing the degree of participation of each of the members of the two groups in the fight.
The evidence obtained during the investigation directed the agents towards two people, as the main authors of the quarrel, these two people being the ones that allegedly caused the most serious injuries to another of the members of the opposing group, for which it had to be transferred to a hospital in the city of Lorca.
In the place of the events, the agents seized some of the blunt objects a whip and an iron stick, which were used by the participants in the fight, to hit the members of the opposing group.
The Civil Guard has completed the operation with the arrest of two people, as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of serious injuries and tumultuarial quarrel, and with the investigation of another 13 people, as alleged perpetrators of the crime of tumultuarial quarrel.
Those arrested / investigated, the effects seized and the proceedings taken have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Lorca.
