Francisco Morales and Ginés Desiderio Navarro met yesterday in our city to establish a collaboration between both municipalities in tourism.
The Councilors of Tourism of the City of Lorca, Francisco Morales, and the City Council of Águilas, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, held a meeting on Wednesday morning that aimed to work together for the tourism development of both municipalities.
The meeting, in which both councilors showed very good harmony and great spirit of collaboration, "was a first contact to initiate a joint and coordinated action to make both municipalities offer a perfectly compatible and complementary tourist offer," said Francisco Morales.
Various issues related to tourism and affecting the two municipalities were discussed, such as the need to expand the number of tourist accommodation and the number of tourists and visitors, infrastructure development and modernization, organization and coordination of tourism projection events, empowerment of a complementary tourist offer and other topics of interest.
After this contact, the joint work will be oriented in the advance so that there are projects and work actions are coordinated and allow a positive progress regarding the tourist potential of both municipalities and by extension of our entire region.
The result of the successive working meetings that are held between the two consistories will be materialized in concrete proposals that will be presented in due course.
