As it is traditional at this time, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lorca makes public the winners of the Christmas showcase competitions that it organizes both in Lorca, in collaboration with the City Council and the Union of Merchants of Lorca;
as in Puerto Lumbreras, where the lumbrerense town hall and ASEPLU - Association of businessmen of Puerto Lumbreras - contribute to the organization.
The activity is subsidized by the General Directorate of Commerce, Consumption and Handicrafts of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
With the participation of about 100 businesses in Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, it should be noted that there are more and more merchants who decide to participate in the contest.
In the city of Lorca, the first prize went to “Óptica Siroco, by María Miñarroâ€, which will receive € 400 and a commemorative plaque.
The jury has highlighted in this showcase the originality for the external exhibition that attracts the attention of the pedestrian and the striking presentation, motivating the purchase.
Likewise, the stores "Librería Futuro Imperfecto" and "Locally" have been deserving of the second and third prize of € 300 and € 150 respectively.
The jury has highlighted from these windows how its traditional product is perfectly reflected and identified in a Christmas atmosphere that attracts the attention of the viewer.
On the other hand, the € 600 prize for the Commercial Area as a whole is for the “Lorca Centro†Commercial Area where, in addition to the number of participating businesses, the joint effort and the implication for the area to be decked out have been assessed.
As for Puerto Lumbreras, the establishment that won the first prize and the € 400 has been Moman Photo Studio, for having managed to integrate its own product with festive decoration and for cohesion with the environment, correctly transmitting the information.
The originality of an atypical scene, with a nice and attractive result, has been enough to deliver the second prize to Parapharmacy Center, and the harmony, with a correct placement and simplicity has been highlighted to grant the third prize to Le Petite Memen.
The jury, made up of Marina Valenti and Victor Coll, from the VCMV Interior Architecture company, wanted to convey the efforts of many of the participating businesses and the difficulty of finally deciding on the winners, since they are aware of the work carried out by many of the shop windows that have run out of recognition.
As a novelty this year, two prizes of € 200 each have been raffled, among all those who have participated in the social networks Facebook and Instagram publishing photographs of shop windows of the participating stores.
The lucky ones are Natalia Ponce de Lorca, and Judith Segovia from Puerto Lumbreras, who have also collected the prize today along with the shops.
After congratulating the winners, Juan Francisco Gómez, president of the organization, highlighted “the commitment of the businessmen of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras who, year after year, decorate their shop windows with the aim of walking through the streets of our cities in These Christmas seasons are a real delight. â€
