In the determined commitment of the Municipal Government Team for the care of the environment, the mayor of Lorca chooses to change the use of plastic containers for other glass.
The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, at the extraordinary session of the Municipal Plenary corresponding to the debate on the Municipal Budget project has announced the replacement of traditional plastic bottles with glass bottles.
Mateos explained that "it is one more measure that the City Council of Lorca puts in place to continue promoting all possible actions to protect the environment."
The First Edil said that "with the replacement of plastic with reusable containers we intend the reduction of polluting materials as well as the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals established by the UN".
Mateos Molina has indicated that "it is about reducing the consumption of plastic containers during the celebration of both the Ordinary and Extraordinary Plenary sessions in which about thirty bottles are used, which we would be talking about a reduction of almost half thousand plastic bottles. "
