The PP insists on Lorca has to be the first city in our Region to benefit from the commissioning of the new hybrid commuter trains that has announced that it will buy the Board of Directors of RENFE.
The Spokesman of the Popular Party in the City of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has proposed the creation of a work table in charge of continuing to study the allegations presented to the route planned for the arrival of the High Speed ​​Rail, aimed at improving the layout of the AVE to its passage through the Lorca districts, with special affection for Tercia.
Fulgencio Gil has demanded that the Board of Burial be convened urgently and within 15 days, where they realize the decisions that have been taken so far and take into consideration the majority feeling of the whole of the society of Lorca in this sense.
The first and only formal commitment of the arrival of the AVE to Lorca and the burial was made by the Minister of Public Works Iñigo Gómez de la Serna, on his visit to Lorca in February 2018. After the arrival of Pedro Sánchez in Spain's government These projects have stopped.
Such is the case of the Lorca-Pulpí, Totana-Lorca sections or the drafting of the railroad integration project as it passes through the urban area of ​​our city.
Gone are the commitments assumed at the time by the Government Delegate, Mr. Diego Conesa, in the meeting held with the Villaespesa Soterrada Platform and neighbors of the district of Tercia, for the search for solutions to the bridges that are intended to be built with the AVE platform.
After the completion of the informative study of urban integration, Adif tendered in early January 2019 the "Consulting and technical assistance for the drafting of basic projects and construction of a platform and station for the integration of the railroad in Lorca" whose deadline for submission of offers ended almost a year ago for an amount close to 2 million euros.
Fulgencio Gil has pointed out that since the deadline for submission of bids, the contract for the drafting of the aforementioned project has not been awarded and we have no knowledge of the award, so the arrival of High Speed ​​to Lorca in 2023 is little less than impossible and uncertain, since once the drafting of the integration project has been awarded, it has a period of 15 months to which we must add another 10 months of bidding and signing of the contract.
To this we add the 36 months of the underground work a total of five and a half years ago, or what is the same, to the year 2026.
From the PP they have stressed that the situation of total indefinition and paralysis that we suffer makes the convocation of the Underground Bureau necessary and urgent.
The creation of this underground table by the City Council, in which the entire Lorca company is represented, has served to defend and ensure the integration of the railroad in Lorca and to eliminate the architectural barrier that the railroad passes through our city .
Likewise, the promised meeting to the Villaespesa Soterrada Platform in which ADIF, the contractor of the awarded works, Government Delegation and representatives of the Municipal Groups of the City of Lorca, the Regional Government and the aforementioned platform is made necessary local.
Gil recalled that the Lorca people started the commitment to urban integration to the Ministry of Development, and we even transferred the technical difficulties detected by municipal officials 13 months ago, and that forced the distance to be buried to 3.6, since they had not contemplated the existence of a canalization of the transfer under the Rambla de las Señoritas, and the need to save the Guadalentín river bed with a depth that would grant the necessary safety conditions in case of flooding.
The answer has been silence and oblivion.
Fulgencio Gil has pointed out that last July we were able to start the support of the Plenary Session of the City Council to demand that Lorca be the first city in our Region to benefit from the start-up of the new hybrid commuter trains that it has announced is going to buy the Board of Directors of RENFE, and that the current Secretary of State for infrastructure, Pedro Saura, also announced a few days ago.
This measure is the result of the commitment made by the Ministry of Development and dating back to the meeting held between both institutions in May 2018.
Fulgencio Gil has indicated that a smoke screen has been launched on this whole issue.
Meanwhile, the current central government remains silent on the arrival of the AVE to the city, the recovery of the railway line with Almeria and Granada and the burial of the tracks as it passes through the urban fabric of the city.
The issues related to the AVE remain sleeping in a drawer, they have slowed down, and we can already affirm that the planned date to reopen the connection by train with Andalusia, established in the first months of 2023, is impossible to meet.
The disinterest of the PSOE with this issue is especially irresponsible, since instead of fulfilling the commitments that had already been reached, it has opted to take investments and money to other sites.
This hurts Lorca, because precisely the PSOE, which dismantled the roads in the 80s when he ruled in Lorca, Murcia and Madrid, has lost the opportunity to at least partially compensate the damage caused.
