To continue with the reduction in concentration, from the Department of the Environment they recommend the lowering of the heating temperature in houses and public buildings, the shared use of private vehicles as well as the commitment to the use of urban public transport.
The Councilor for the Environment of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, has reported the improvement of PM10 levels recorded in the last hours in our city.
The mayor of the Environment explained that "although the level of particles has improved compared to yesterday, the air quality is still not completely satisfactory according to the air quality web pollution records (https: // sinqlair .carm.es / calidadaire /) and the Directorate General for the Environment of the Autonomous Community ".
Ruiz Guillén has indicated that "although the Saharan intrusion that is affecting the peninsular southeast persists, levels have been improved compared to yesterday that reached an average daily concentration at the Lorca station of 91 mg / m3."
José Luis Ruiz Guillén has detailed that "to continue with this improvement of the quality of the Lorca air, from the Department of Environment we want to remember a series of basic and preventive recommendations in order to avoid a further increase in this type of particles: the lowering of the temperature of the heating in houses and public buildings, the shared use of private vehicles as well as the commitment to the use of urban public transport, avoiding the burning of stubble and agricultural margins or the use of dissuasive parking on the outskirts of the city".
