The popular people remember that last week they demanded for the umpteenth time the current mayor to control the "verbiage" of some of his councilors, whose contempt and insults had to have been settled by Mr. Mateos months ago.
Faced with the bad ways, contempt, accusations and lack of respect that the Popular Municipal Group has suffered during the Town Hall Plenary held this morning, all the councilors of the Popular Party have decided to leave the Plenary Hall in solidarity with their partner Ángel Meca , who has been accused by the current mayor of Agriculture, Antonio Navarro, of being the culprit that there could be "an accident" on the roads damaged by the September DANA that the City Council has not yet fixed.
A barbarity that the current mayor has not been able to redirect as President of the Plenary.
Fulgencio Gil has indicated that in the heat of the debate of a motion certain expressions can be excused, attributing them to a "warming up", but what we have had to endure this morning from Mr. Navarro's mouth is inadmissible.
His attitude has been misplaced every time the Plenary is spoken.
In fact, in a previous motion related to the improvement of services and infrastructure in Morata, whose agreements had been previously agreed between the PP and its own party, the PSOE, has had an intervention out of tune, which we have decided to ignore so that the text would go ahead, since we know perfectly well that above all is the interest of Lorca.
We have been warning the current mayor, Mr Mateos, for a long time that he has to control the tone and disqualification of his councilors, we have had to tell him several times, the last one just a few days ago.
We are being very understanding, but what has happened in plenary marks a turning point.
And it is that Mr. Navarro has taken very badly the question asked by the PP in relation to the roads that have not yet been repaired from the damages suffered by the heavy rains of September, and, after entering cholera, visibly nervous and altered , he has expected that Ángel Meca is responsible for registering an accident on these roads.
After this, and given the passivity of the mayor, who has to control and moderate the interventions, the Popular Group Spokesman has asked Mr. Navarro to withdraw such an aberration so that it does not appear in the minutes, something he has refused, for what the councilors of the Popular Party have decided to leave the Plenary Hall.
From the PP they have indicated that given the situation generated by the PSOE, we demand that Mr. Antonio Navarro, a repeat offender in these matters, ask for public apologies for his lousy behavior, especially intolerable during the celebration of a Municipal Plenary, where the background as forms.
We grant a reasonable period of time for this, after which, if not publicly rectified, we will undertake the corresponding political initiatives.
