Councilwoman Gloria Martín has asked the session to collaborate with the EOI in the work of information and dissemination so that Lorca can finally count on these studies.
For this, he has also requested the Councilor for Education, Antonia Pérez, to coordinate with the IES of the municipality and with the municipalities of Águilas, Alhama, Aledo, Totana, Puerto Lumbreras and even Mazarrón or others such as Huércal-Overa (Almería) , whose neighbors could benefit from this training offer
The councilor of the United Left-Greens, Gloria Martín, has asked the City Council to be involved in the effort being made by the Official Language School of Lorca to open its training offer to the German language.
Martin recalled that a minimum of 70 applications are needed for the Ministry of Education to authorize the opening of two A1 level courses of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
More than 50 were reached last year but it was not enough to incorporate this new language into the Official School where English, French and Italian are already taught.
"The idea is to have a sufficient number of students that allow students to reach level C2" said Martin, who asked the session "to collaborate with the EOI in the work of information and dissemination so that finally Lorca can count on these studies".
For this, he has also requested the Councilor for Education, Antonia Pérez, to coordinate with the IES of the municipality and with the municipalities of Águilas, Alhama, Aledo, Totana, Puerto Lumbreras and even Mazarrón or others such as Huércal-Overa (Almería) , whose neighbors could benefit from this training offer.
The courses would be held two days a week for two hours each day and people from 14 years old can register.
"In IU we believe that this opportunity cannot be missed to reinforce the studies taught at the Official School of Languages that allow our neighbors to improve their curriculum and expand their employment opportunities," explained Martín.
The councilor recalled that the Lorca headquarters deserve to be able to expand its offer to those of Murcia or Cartagena where up to eight languages are taught, including Spanish, Chinese, Arabic or Japanese Language and Culture.
