Diego José Mateos has pointed out that "the beneficiaries of these new infrastructures are the Lorca and Comarca Mental Health Association (Asofem), the group of Parents with Children with Intellectual Disability of the Region of Lorca (Apandis), the Association of People with Syndrome of Down and Intellectual Disability (Down Lorca) and the Association of and for Physical Disabilities of Lorca and Comarca del Guadalentín (Asdifilor) ".
The mayor has specified that "taking into account the needs of each of these groups with whom we have been in direct contact, of the two houses destined for Asofem, one of them is qualified as adapted; the same as another of the two granted to Apandis, and the one that corresponds to Asdifilor. "
Mateos has stressed that "the close collaboration we have maintained with CARM in this process that culminates today with the delivery of these keys, a journey that has not been easy since they have had to carry out various procedures, and in the that the main main objective was to be able to fulfill one of the commitments acquired by this government team since we arrived at the City Council last June. "
The First Edil recalled that "the use of these homes must be intended for the social purpose of which these associations are subject, in addition to maintaining the homes ceded in good condition in hygiene."

On the other hand, the general director of Housing of the CARM, José Francisco Lajara, has affirmed that "with this act the work that is being carried out in Lorca and the reconstruction of the city after the earthquakes of 2011 are materialized once again, as well as the commissioning of these homes for those associations that need it most ".
